From March 30, The Upper House will host a special pop-up by celebrated Hong Kong restaurant Yardbird and curated convenience store Sunday’s Grocery for 3 months.
Opened in 2011 by Chef Matt Abergel, formerly of Masa in New York and Zuma, Yardbird quickly became an it restaurant in Hong Kong with a trendy clientele. Specialising in chicken yakitori, the menu at Yardbird is also known for their creative and addictive dishes like their KFC Korean Fried Cauliflower and Sweet Corn Tempura.
At the exclusive pop-up, Yardbird will be serving their beloved classics including a Katsu Sando, Fried Chicken and Rice Cakes. The drinks list curated by Yardbird’s beverage team, Elliot Faber and Raphael Holzer will feature classics like the Hunter High, Yardbird White Russian, Whisky Lemonade, Jumbo Ozaki, Sunday’s Sake and Sunday’s Shochu.
This is the second time The Upper House has collaborated with local favourites to bring the best of home-grown boutique dining experiences to the hotel. Just over a year ago, they brought Elephant Grounds (founded by Kevin Poon) to The Lawn, offering among other things their bulletproof coffee and legendary ice-cream sandwiches.
Outfitted by the super stylish NikeLab Essentials Collection, the collaboration is a perfect mix of taste and style.
