The Opposite House: Chikalicious x K.H. Würtz dessert pop-up
ChikaLicious, a popular dessert bar originating from East Village will be serving a 3-course dessert menu created by Chefs Mauro and Maya and plated on hand-thrown, hand-glazed crockery from K.H.Würtz, often stocked by New Nordic and gourmet restaurants around the world.
At ChikaLicious New York, diners experience an intimate chef's table style service with only 20 seats arranged so that guests interact directly with the chef. A similar experience is brought to The Opposite House where dessert lovers can enjoy desserts freshly made in front of them by the chef team.
The dessert experience has a gold and grey theme that the team imagines represent Beijing, a fast-paced cosmopolitan city but moderately slow at times. The colour grey reflects Beijing’s thousands of years of rich history where there are stories behind each corner in the capital. Gold portrays Beijing’s present day skyscrapers and the city’s modern environment.
