New look at The Continental

The Continental at Pacific Place is re-opened with an updated look and an all-new dining experience.

The restaurant has been preparing for a re-launch over the last few months with the new appointment of Joey Sergentakis as their Executive Chef.   The new refresh features chocolate brown wood paneling sun-kissed by glimmers of gold, stained wooden floors, tanned leather seats and emerald green booths.

“As much as we loved the aesthetics of our previous look, our new edits bring a warmer restaurant that mirror the energy of the team,” explains Restaurant Manager Vikash Vaswani.

“The lounge and bar is expanded while the dining room seating is more intimate. I truly feel The Continental is going to be more inviting,” he adds.

A new DJ booth and portable bar has been added to the terrace with an extensive drinks list including classic cocktails like the Negroni and Vesper. There are also more wines by the glass, whiskies, and for the adventurous, an array of traditional Absinthe cocktails.

Joey Sergentakis, the newly appointed Executive Chef ensures there is something for everyone at The Continental. Look for refreshing salads, creative seafood dishes, choice meats, artisanal cheeses and charcuterie, and sinfully delicious desserts.

One of the highlights to welcome is the Tasting Menu, a six-course meal that changes regularly, “I am trying to source the best seasonal products then see where they take me,” says Joey.

An example is this summer’s theme: Tomatoes. Dishes include Crab Salad with Avocado and Tomato Gazpacho, Slow Poached Icelandic Cod in Tomato Dashi, Oven Roasted Cherry Tomatoes, and Hanwoo Korean Beef with Charred Tomatoes. In addition, Operations Manager Timothee Becqueriaux has created an intriguing tomato-based cocktail to pair with the menu.

Another highlight on the menu for crustacean lovers is the roasted 1kg Brittany Blue Lobster with lobster risotto and tarragon gratin*, and Joey’s favourite Rouget à la Bouillabaisse, a classic French seafood feast that includes mussels, langoustines, crab and clams.

“The warm and inviting décor that enhances the restaurant’s sophisticated look, along with the new additions to the terrace and the mouth-watering dishes created by Chef Joey, make for an amazing dining experience that can only be found at The Continental,” says Willem van Emden, General Manager of Swire Restaurants.

The Continental is located on Level 4, Pacific Place and opens from 12:00pm to 10:30pm from Monday to Friday and from 11:00am to 10:30pm on Saturday and Sunday.
