Kristina’s Personal Favourites: Summer in the City
“Having grown up in Hong Kong, I’ve spent my life discovering this city’s best kept secrets, all of which I love sharing with our guests.
With this being the first edition of my quarterly ‘Personal Favourites’ blog post, I want to highlight some of the ways I love to spend the summer in this crazy town.
I hope you enjoy the beauty of our city as much as I do and I look forward to sharing even more tips with you during your stay at ‘our house’.”
–Kristina Snaith, Director of Guest Experience, The Upper House
NOSH – Uncomplicated, fresh and always full of fabulous locals enjoying plenty of healthy breakfast options.
DUDDELLS – Designed by Ils Crawford and serves the most authentic dim sum. I love sitting on the outdoor terrace which feels like a private hidden garden in the centre of the city.
Big Wave Bay – A quiet beach still within easy reach of Central on Hong Kong Island.
This place feels like a holiday retreat somewhere gorgeous.
Afternoon drink spot:
Limewood – Recently opened, this restaurant on Repulse Bay Beach is the perfect place to chill and is run by the team behind Mott 32, which is another of my favorite restaurants in town.
Sugar – There’s no better way to return from the shores of Big Wave Bay and end
your day, than a stop off for delicious cocktails and stunning views at the
rooftop terrace bar Sugar, at our sister hotel EAST, Hong Kong.
22 Ships – Eating is semi alfresco here and the restaurant feels like a fabulous spot in a Mediterranean city – A must try!
After dinner drinks:
The Lawn – In Hong Kong, it is all about finding the best outdoor space. On a beautiful summer night, and before hitting the town, there’s no better place to relax than our very own Lawn. Try the latest selection of our signature drinks.
